Do You Want This?

I finished some new socks. I knit these as part of the Autumn knit along in the Coop Knits group on Ravelry. The pattern is Calamint and the yarn is Tanis Fiber Arts in the color Orange Blossom.

IMG_3893 IMG_3903These socks took about a month. Both socks were knit on a 12 inch needle. I would have to say thats my preferred way to knit socks now. I’m glad that twisted stitches don’t bother me anymore because that seems to be all I’m knitting on socks these days.

I’ve decided to have a little giveaway. As I mentioned in my previous post  I’m not to keen on the latest sock club shipment. I think instead of trying to destash it I will host a little giveaway on my blog here.  The Giveaway is now closed. Thanks!

  1. I love the colors is the yarn and the way they flow into each other when knitted up. The pattern is interesting. I’ve never seen one where the stitches change so dramatically at the ankle. Smooth inside your shoes, but a fun pattern where it can be seen – What a great idea!

  2. I’m not sure about that yarn for socks, but I think it would make an awesome bag. I’d like to work with it to see what kind of deliberate pooling it would do. Could be a lot of fun!
    Thanks for the generous giveaway!

    And your orange socks? Gorgeous!

    • Absolutely love those orange socks! And the new yarn looks interesting. I’d love to give it a try. Thanks for your generosity, Leslie!

  3. I can’t help it: I am a huge fan of blue, so this yarn looks fine to me. And soft you say… oh well… I just had to be in this giveaway!! Very generous of you to destash this, you could have tried to swap it with another yarn lover.

    Happy knitting! Ciao, Fleur

  4. The colours of the yarn remind my of the Freezies we ate as a child. It would be fun to knit with it. The orange socks look just right for fall.

  5. Love your blog and wouldn’t have found it if not for your sock post on Ravelry! Looking forward to reading more. As for the yarn and pattern I love them both. I especially love that the leg is knit in a different direction from the sock. I’m a sock knitter all the way, but I’ve never done anything like that and would enjoy giving it a try!

  6. I absolutely love the look of that yarn knit up in that pattern. I’m a teacher and our school colors are red white and blue. Those would be great for crazy sock day!
